Swansea Vale FC Make History at the Margam Inclusive Football Festival
Swansea Vale FC made history at the Margam Inclusive Football Festival as the club took to the pitch for the very first time.
It was a proud and emotional moment for everyone involved, marking the beginning of our journey as a mental health football team. The day became even more special when Wayne Pontin, club owner and manager, scored the first ever goal for Swansea Vale FC.
Across the festival, the team showed determination, togetherness and belief, finishing 4th in the league before going on to win the Play-Off Cup after a dramatic penalty shootout victory.
The festival was about more than football. It was about confidence, connection, mental health, and proving what can happen when people come together with the same purpose.
A huge thank you to the organisers, officials, volunteers, supporters and every team involved.
Together, we continue to prove that football can change lives.

Our first ever kit has arrived
The wait is finally over... our first-ever Swansea Vale FC kit has officially arrived.
This is more than just a football shirt. It represents hope, resilience and the beginning of an incredible journey for our mental health football club.
Every shirt stands for breaking the stigma around mental health and proving that nobody has to face their struggles alone.
We can't wait to wear these colours with pride as we begin our first season together.
